I am Batman! (In My Dream)

I was cast as Batman in a musical, but it did not go according to plan.

In this dream, I was cast to play Batman in a big musical that will screen in front of a live crowd and will be live telecast on MSNBC TV. Don’t ask me why Batman. I’m not even a fan of superheroes.

I was one of three Batmans cast in this musical to show the different life stages of Batman.

I don’t remember what the exact musical is about, but my big break is a solo song at the finale.

Weeks before the show, we rehearsed our routines frequently. We also used a teleprompter to help us with our lines and song lyrics.

Showtime!

The musical was going well until it was my turn for my solo song at the finale.

By this time, I was already quite nervous, but I knew there was a teleprompter to help if I have a nervous breakdown and forget my lines.

Midway through my song, suddenly, the teleprompter was switched off!

At first, I thought it was due to technical issues but quickly realised that it was sabotage! Don’t know by who. The producers were scrambling to find out what the hell happened.

Meanwhile, I’m on stage, and everyone is staring at me. Because of the abrupt stop, I have forgotten my lines so I could not continue. Damn it!

Panic and embarrassed, I tried to figure out a way to exit the stage.

Ah-hah! I had a brilliant idea! Why don’t I ask the crowd a funny question?

Here I was, in front of 500 fully suited and dressed individuals, my question to them was: “Of the three Batmans, who would you Shoot, Shag or Marry?” WHAT WAS I THINKING?!

The crowd was like What the Hell?? With their dagger-eyed stares, they eventually started to boo me off stage. At that point, I was in full panic mode and was sweating like mad.

…then, I woke up, and my dream ended.

I was drenched in sweat, and my clothes were all soaked. I was so uncomfortable; I had to use the fan to cool down in the middle of a cold winter’s night.

Have you dreamt of something similar before?
